Honest Picks Guide is a books-and-reading site, written by people who actually read.

Honest Picks Guide started as a general product-review site, and for a while it stayed one. But the thing we kept coming back to, on our own time, was books — what to read next, how to actually finish a book club pick, which reading-tracker app was worth the download. In September 2026 we made that the whole site. This is now a books-and-reading publication: genre recommendations, reading-life advice, and the small amount of actual reading gear (e-readers, book lights, earplugs, that kind of thing) worth spending money on.

We are a small, independent team. No publisher or retailer owns this site, and no author or publicist gets to preview a recommendation before it goes up. When a book everyone's talking about doesn't work for us, we say so.
